Workshop on Stage
Collage: Alix Eynaudi
In it doesn’t go without saying (& other gossips), Alix Eynaudi, Elizabeth Ward, and Ray Scheinecker open their research into US postmodern dance as an on-stage, embodied dance-history workshop. Through weak dance recollections, gossip-interviews, Authentic Movement, and material drawn from their collaboration with the choreographer Cathy Weis, participants are invited to sense how oral transmission, misremembered lineages, and embodied archives shape what (and who) dance history remembers.

Artist Bio
Alix Eynaudi
is a Vienna-based choreographer whose training spans the Paris Opéra ballet school and P.A.R.T.S. After dancing with Rosas, she began crafting her own works – mixing expanded choreography, collective study, and mischievous collaborations with artists such as Jennifer Lacey, Han-Gyeol Lie, and Raimundas Malasauskas. Recent projects include Death by Landscape and the multi-year Institute of Rest(s). Her upcoming it doesn’t go without saying (& other gossips) (2026, TQW), made with Elizabeth Ward, re-re-reimagines dance history through oral play and shared invention.
Elizabeth Ward
is a US-American dancer, choreographer, and occasional outside eye based in Vienna. She began training at the School of the Atlanta Ballet and received her B.A. from Bennington College in Vermont, where she was a student of Cathy Weis and Dana Reitz. In NYC, her work was shown at Danspace, Movement Research at Judson Church, AUNTS, the Chocolate Factory, Dixon Place, and the Kitchen. Additionally, Elizabeth performed for downtown choreographers such as Yvonne Meier, DD Dorvillier, Rebecca Brooks, Linda Austin, Miguel Gutierrez, Heather Kravas, and Cathy Weis. Since moving to Vienna, her work has been shown through brut, WUK, TQW, Wiener Festwochen, ImPulsTanz, and steirischer herbst.
Ray Scheinecker
is a clinical psychologist and performer based in Vienna. In 2022, Ray was part of PARASOL and received the danceWEB scholarship at ImPulsTanz. Ray has performed for Ian Kaler, Alix Eynaudi, Michael Turinsky, and Annie Hanauer, among others. Her movement experience is based on urban styles, acrobatics, and contemporary dance. Ray uses her lived experience as a visually impaired artist to draw attention to the fact that visual perception is only one of many levels that can be served in a theater context.
