Through knowledge transfer and practice sequences, we promote awareness of our own movement competence for sustainable health promotion in dance.
Why is injury prevention important for dancers? Dance is a complex performance discipline and a demanding form of performing arts. In these interactive workshops on dance-specific injury prevention, we combine the two dimensions: reducing risk factors for dance injuries and improving the demands in dance practice.

Artist Bio
Barbara Baumann
is a certified dancer and self-employed physiotherapist specializing in dance physiotherapy/dance medicine. In 2023, she opened DANCERS:CARE in Vienna, the first Austrian center for injury prevention & rehabilitation in dance. Besides her practice, she serves as a lecturer on dance physiotherapy at Physio Austria, as well as dance health promotion in Austria and Germany.
