LABOUR

Towards a Contemporary Listening Practice

©

© Evelyn Bencicova

Everyone does not hear the same. There is no ideal listener, no universal listener, whether on a perceptual level, the physical reality of individual ears, and also our social construction, the constructedness of our individual subjecthoods. In the first half of this workshop, participants will enter acoustic space through a series of listening exercises led by the duo LABOUR (Colin Hacklander & Farahnaz Hatam). The second half will highlight ideas from the first part in relation to their stage work, sungazing (رضایت), through the demonstration of musical examples in the piece.

Time

15:30–17:00

Location

TQW Halle G

Duration

90 Min

Price

€ 15 / For every purchased ticket, you will receive a discounted performance ticket for € 10.
