When does something become dance? Can we touch the moment before the dance emerges? What comes before the dance? This workshop is dedicated to the things and practices that (be)come (before) the dance. We search for relations to ourselves, to the bodies around us and to the world. We will let go the unnecessary to be able to discover the new. Becoming aware of the new situation that we are always already in.
In cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of Tina Amerstorfer.

Artist Bio
Sigal Zouk
is a dancer/artist working in Berlin since 1997. She was working with Sasha Waltz and Guests, Meg Stuart, Laurent Chetouane and others. She teaches in several European dance departments and institutions such as Tanzfabrik Berlin, HZT University Center for Dance Berlin, ZZT Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, DDSKS Copenhagen, DOCH Uni Art Stockholm, Cullberg Ballet Stockholm, Carte Blanche Norway, CNDB Bukarest, Ponderosa TanzLand, Hollins University (Virginia/USA), Plovdiv summer programme, Bulgaria. -
