LO AND BEHOLD
Reece Cox presents Poser (Metronome) / Mark Leckey / Rat Section
© Reece Cox, Harpsichord 02 (Rehearsal), 2024
The event series LO AND BEHOLD assembles experimental sound and performance practices: between roaring and subtle sounds, affect and intimacy, presence and transience, a resonance space unfolds for multi-layered, sensitive listening experiences.
Poser is a fictional music group without fixed members by Berlin-based artist Reece Cox. By adopting and deconstructing the band as a readymade cultural form, Poser serves primarily as a vehicle for producing images and live performances that challenge and contaminate notions such as artistic authenticity, experimentation, and performativity. Poser (Metronome) is performed by Greg Fox and Han-Gyeol Lie. With their performance Back Up vol. II, where installation and concert collide, the artist duo Rat Section offers an impression of their cryptic and genre-bending universe. Dance as a social phenomenon, but also the exploration of sound and its manipulation, runs through the oeuvre of Mark Leckey. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark Leckey is unable to attend – instead, there will be a screening of his work.
