Fat people experience discrimination in all areas of life, such as in the world of work and in the healthcare system. For decades, the fat acceptance movement has fought against hatred, discrimination and societal norms that judge bodies based on weight. Despite fat acceptance having long been a subject of interest in art and pop culture, fat people are still marked as ‘other’ and experience rejection.
In the Our Bodies talk, Brigitte Theißl talks to artist and activist Ina Holub about beauty standards, multiply marginalised people in the culture sector, and queer feminist struggles.

is a queer fat-acceptance and body-positivity activist and a member of Karin Cheng’s Kiki House of Dive. She holds voguing courses for higher-weight and queer people, and supports the cause of multiply marginalised people in lectures, articles and on Instagram. -
