Questionable levels of intimacy between human and non-human bodies are being held responsible for the current pandemic. However, to prevent further catastrophes, it does not suffice to simply cloak our current anthropocentric actions in new, green robes. In his lecture, Amir refers to the interconnectedness and vulnerability of bodies to propose a more-than-human perspective.

  • Artist Bio

    Fahim Amir

    is a Vienna-based philosopher and author. His work focuses on naturecultures and urbanism, art and utopia. He holds a PhD in philosophy and has taught at universities in Austria as well as in Europe and Latin America.

    Amir has previously collaborated with artists such as Deichkind, Chicks on Speed, Rocko Schamoni and Ted Gaier. In 2018, his book Schwein und Zeit was published by Nautilus and awarded the Karl Marx Prize for eco-socialism.
