Artist Bio
Elena Fokina,
born in Moscow, is a multi-talented artist, excelling as a dancer, actress, choreographer, theatre/film director, and contemporary dance teacher. Her extensive training at Moscow’s University for Culture and the Russian Academy for Theatrical Arts has shaped her versatile skills. Notably, she has collaborated with distinguished theatre directors such as Wim Vandekeybus, Sasha Waltz, and Mats Ek. She received the Independent Spirit Robert Altman Award for her role in Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria. You can also see her in Das Rad der Zeit (S2 Ep6) directed by Maya Vrivlo. Presently, Elena freelances globally in Dance, Theatre, and Cinema.
