CLAUDIA BOSSE

BONES and STONES

©

hybrid beings
entangled in forces
appear
they are shifting matter they are shifted matter
they are speculating about crystallisation of time
about becoming of the earth about kinship
they are recombining knowledge
between matters
spread out in time
we carry inorganic matter in our bones
memory of stones in us

In BONES and STONES, Claudia Bosse and her different-aged performers dig through time, the creation of our planet, as well as its layers and sediments. In search of the memories of stones, speculative contextures emerge in a walk-through landscape of bodies, bones, dust, skin, and ruins between poetic processes of transformation and utopias of divided time(s).

The choreography works with hybrid bodies, allowing them to fall apart and become concrete organic and inorganic matter throughout a parcours. As part of the four-year work cycle ORGAN/ismus – poetik der relationen, this piece will leave behind the confines of the stage and extend into the landscape.

  • Artist Bio

    Claudia Bosse

based in Vienna and Berlin, is a choreographer, artist and artistic director of the transdisciplinary constellation theatercombinat. Her works negotiate forms of violence, history and concrete utopia. Bosse thinks of her space-consuming choreographies, which weave together myths, rituals and texts with bodies, objects, sounds and, sometimes, choirs, as ‘art of a temporary community’ – including non-human beings. She develops site-specific performances, installations and interventions in and outside of Europe, in museums, architectural settings, theatres, landscapes and urban spaces. Her latest pieces include ORACLE and SACRIFICE in the woods as part of the four-year project ORGAN/ismus – poetik der relationen and commune 1–73, featuring 73 fragments about the Paris Commune. theatercombinat.com
